Electrical duct heater / for aircraft - 6 kW
This 6 kW inline air heater is developed to heat air pumped to the bulk cargo area of aircraft. The duct heater unit is constructed of two heater banks with a relay switch turns the heater on and off. The heater banks are equipped with positive temperature coefficient heating elements that self regulate. The controller can be programmed with field loadable software. Heating power is contingent on air inlet temperature and flow. This leading edge heater communicates via CAN bus with the Ventilation Control System (VCS) manages bulk cargo compartment temperature. Temperatures can be adjusted from 0 to 100 via single increments with a pulse width modulation (PWM) pattern.
