Microtunneling boring machine - ø 0.6 - 1.8 m | SBU-A
The SBU-A is a cutterhead and thrust bearing assembly with a small diameter, and a measuring range of 24in/600mm to 72in/1.8m. The apparatus is welded to the lead hull, and can be operated with any auger boring machine with a size from 36in to 72in (1.8m). It has a high-thrust bearing and mini disc cutters that can be accessed in 3 different sizes, based on the application it is needed for. In addition, it is comprised of specifically designed cutters to chip away hard-rock bores, and has 4,000 up to 25,000 PSI UCS.
