The Viva TS11 KUMONOS by Leica is specially designed to promote a high quality functionality for specific users and operators in need of such quality and standard. It is considered as the first built-in crack scale. The crack widths are carefully calculated from the distance of the crack and the instrument plus the gauge number which is found through positioning the scale mark on the crack. The KUMONOS system has the capability to measure 0.3mm, 0.2mm, and 0.1mm crack widths for every 80 meters, 50 meters and 25 meters.

Developed and manufactured by Leica, the Viva SmartStation utilizes a high powered GNSS receiver for total station (TS) positioning. With this feature, users may simply set up in areas convenient to them, making surveying operations faster and more efficient. This also removes the need for resections, control points and long traverses.

RTK detects positions from distances as far as 50 km, through quick response times at centimeter precision. Also, the GNSS receiver and station are completely installed in the total station unit. User friendly assistant functions help operator walk through the system's set up. In this regard, all readings, data, and other transmissions are saved on to the station and can be accessed and read on the unit.
