The Komatsu's PC228USLC-8 Hydraulic Excavator is both powerful and adaptable. It delivers the efficiency expected of a Komatsu machine.

It has a powerful Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 engine that is turbocharged and aftercooled. While being EPA Tier 3 and EU stage 3A emissions certified, the engine delivers a net power of 148 hp. The machine can be put into economy mode, improving its fuel efficiency.

One of the performance enhancements is an increased carrying capacity with the aid of its enhanced counterweight of 1300 kg.
