MD6290 exhibits strong and sturdy design and is fitted with long-lasting components making it ideal for a number of applications, including soft- and hard-rock applications. The machine is noted for delivering 29 000kg of bit load and is integrated with the right amount of force, rotational torque 12 880 N•m (9,500 ft-lb) and on-board air (1,700 cfm), which will in turn lead to fast penetration rates and maximum drilling capability. The drill is equipped with patented Hammer/Tricone Pipe Rack making it suitable for both softrock conditions with tricome drilling and hardrock conditions with DTH drilling. The conversion from soft rock to hard application takes less than five minutes. Innovative technology, low operational cost and high-level of efficiency are other features.
