Design software / analysis
The design team use industry leading Gear design software to size and "life" gears for the appropriate duty cycle. This allows concept designs to be developed very quickly to confirm engineering application feasibility. This process equally applies to re-assessing existing geatrains to achieve increased performance targets (possibly with improved material or processes) or verification of existing designs to new applications and duty cycles.Geartrain layouts and casings are solid modelled in 3D (Solidworks 2012) to allow package space allowances to be respected. This provides customers (if requested) a package space model (in most CAD export formats) for design integration of the geared system into their application.
