The Ericsson Service-Aware Policy Controller (SAPC) allows the increase of revenues by personalizing services, and the optimization and utilization network resources. The SAPC, telecom-grade server is high capacity and complies with policy and charging control architecture defined by the 3GPP. The SAPC allows for the control of traffic for multiple services such as IMS, thus contributing to the user's experience and optimizing resources offered through the network. Compliance to the 3GPP standards allows the SAPC to be fully interoperable with multiple network elements such as GGSNs, standalone packet inspection nodes, as well as application function units.
