The SICOM5208R, manufactured by Kyland, is an industrial switch which is made for industrial applications in harsh environments. The M12 connectors guarantee tight, robust and dependable operations even to those which are prone to vibration and shock. The product is IP40 protected. It is suitable for the applications that involve distribution network automation, oil and gas industry, wind power, transportation and many more.

The series only consumes 15.4 watts of power per port. It offers mini USB Console channel, support setting backup and recovery through USB. The management of the bandwidth in which it supports port trunking, port speed limit, broadcast storm control is one of its features. The unit also supports VLAN and PVLAN including the IP/MAC conflicts, power, port and ring alarms. For its special function, it supports Link Check and Loop Status Check.
