Modulator - EQ8000
The Ericsson EQ 8000 Universal Edge QAMs are compatible with Broadcast, VOD, Switched Digital Video (SDV) and High Speed Data (DOCSIS) applications from within the same chassis all at the same time. It has pay-as-you-grow modularity features, supports DVB scrambling and up to eight 12QAM hot swap modulator cards and power supplies. All this makes it a ideal as a versatile edge modulator for cable operators.The EQ 8096 is based on open standards and it includes all the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 features. It is a device that operates on a whole new level as it is designed to surpass the cost, density and functionality points for all applications required of a cable edge modulator.
Every RF output can support four adjacent QAMs for maximum QAM striping flexibility.
