This new gateway for serial Modbus communication can be used for both Modbus RTU and ASCII protocol. This new device enables the user to choose between RS232 and RS485 physically. This thus makes the gadget very flexible as it can be used on a very wide range of application. The gadget is also user friendly as there are a host of operations that the user can carry out without any problems. These operations are such like Push-in terminals which are used for connecting the fieldbus as well as power supply cables. The DIP switch is another part of this device that eases many of the operations. This switch can be used to carry out functions such as bus termination, baud rate and setting RS485/RS232. Available also is a mini USB port that be used for the purpose of servicing. The operating temperature range for this device is also extended for better performance.
