This fast stop, electronic breaking system instantly stops a motor. The large braking force will cause the motor to stop at approximately 0.1 seconds. This gives an over run of 1.0 to 1.5 revolutions. Braking current flows in and out of motor in 0.4 seconds, when the power supply to the motor is cut off automatically causing causes the motor holding force to dissipate. With long life wiring in a simple and maintenance-free, package, the unit has an electronic brake that operates on flow of current, making it longer lasting as compared to those that are mechanically operated with electromagnetic breaking that is subject to wear and tear.
