Female rod end / plastic - BJT

The BJT rod end is used in rotary, oscillating and linear movements, even in particularly aggressive environments and when water or humidity, fine dusts, dirt, fabrics and machining residues are present. It is made up of glass-fibre reinforced polyamide based (PA) special technopolymer which is resistant to solvents, oils, greases and other chemicals. The BJT has a wide variety of models which have a maximum thread tightening torque of 1.5 to 25 Nm. There are two standard executions available for BJT rod end: the BJT with threaded hole and BJT-p with threaded pin.

Fork joint - FJT

FJT forks are made of glass-fiber reinforced polyamide based (PA) special technopolymer with great resistance to oils, solvents, greases and other chemicals. The standard executions of the forks include a threaded hole - FJT+PC with clip pin and FJT+S: with a pin and Seeger ring.

FJT forks have features that are suitable for actuation such as in pneumatic cylinders when water and humidity are present. The technopolymer forks have features such as complete corrosion resistant against corrosion and humidity, great strength to saline mist, mechanical strength against applying loads, lightness with great rigidity, resistance to regular washing cycles with solvents and detergents to make them ideal for food and pharmaceutical sectors. It also has excellent shock-absorbing features and generated minimum noise.

Rod end

A rod end typically consists of an eye-shaped head with an integral shank which forms a housing for a standard circular plain bearing. As per traditional rule, rod ends are available for left and right-handed use, with female (internal) and male (external) threads to ISO965/1:1980.

Where rod ends are needed for specific applications, such as those attached to a piston rod or the base of a hydraulic cylinder, these are available with a slotted shank and compressible threaded section or with a 'welding shank', i.e. a shank suitable for welding to another component.

SKF rod ends, which often require maintenance, are available as standard with the sliding contact surface combinations steel-on-steel and steel-on-bronze. Both of these types of rod ends require regular re-lubrication.

Bearing roller

These bearings or type track runners are designed to run on all track types, as well as to be used in conveyor systems, cam drivers and other applications. In addition to this, the outer ring is a thick-walled one, allowing accommodation of shock loads, as well as the reduction of any distortion and bending of stresses.

Next, the running surface of the outer ring is crowned as the standard, which is especially helpful for those applications that may involve angular misalignment relative to the track. In addition, the track runner bearings are also available with an outer ring running surface, while the SKF supplies bearings are greased, sealed and ready to mount.

Maintenance-free rod end

This eye-shaped head comes with an integral shank, which forms a standard spherical plain bearing, being available with male (external) or female (internal) threads. In addition to this, the maintenance-free rods also come with special sliding layers of materials that are defined by their low friction levels. The item is also suitable for those applications that have the need for loads acting in a constant direction.

Finally, the left-handed thread at the end of this rod is identified by an L shape in the designation prefix. As a concrete example, SAL 25 C comes with a left-hand thread, while the SA 25 C comes with a right-hand thread.
