Mould insert for fluid circulating thermal regulation - integrat 4D

As a mould maker you know that the most important part in the process chain of producing plastic products is the injection mould. Nowadays, ordinary drilled cooling systems are hardly able to meet the requirements in terms of cycle time and quality.

The gwk integrat 4D system is the rational answer to the economic cooling process.

For technical parts, the cooling time is 2/3 of the overall cycle time, thus the largest cost-factor; therefore the greatest potential for rationalization lies in a correctly dimensioned cooling process.

Through close-to-cavity and segmented allocation of the cooling surfaces and the water quantities and temperatures necessary to do so it is possible to reach the shortest cooling time, while at the same time achieving the best possible mould quality as well as reducing the reject rate considerably, and realizing a stable production process.

The INTEGRAT 40 makes use of all the benefits of segmented mold control through its temperature management system. This system works by absorbing the heat from the different areas of the mold end and spreading a balanced temperature and flow across the whole mold surface. The mold quality is also enhanced and maximized at quicker cycle times due to the direct cooling. These processes aim to minimize the rejected items and at the same time, target maximum productivity. Moreover, through these processes, the costs of the materials and the handling of the rejected parts are sustained, as well as operational time, which may be optimized for further production.

Integrat Revolution by GWK utilizes a high performance ceramic innovation located inside the mould. This heater (CPH), positioned a few millimeters from the cavities, ensures faster temperature change, while ensuring minimum energy consumption. A temperature controller then cools down the mould using a fluid water medium, which doubles as an insulating medium, allowing for short and intensive cooling phase. A machine signal instigates this phase and ends as the mould opens for a new cycle. The implementation of the CPH and The cooling system, ensures dynamic temperature control. Since they are autonomous from the temperature of the main mould, the temperature of each cavity can be maintained uniformly. The shift between heating and cooling phase is affected by a close-to-cavity placed valve unit.
