Super-aluminium igus guide trough for long travels has a modular kit system in 2 versions (Basic and Heavy Duty). The troughs feature a corrosion-resistant, seawater-resistant aluminum profile and plastic glide bars made of highly molecular polyethylene for protection from abrasion at high speeds. The troughs have a seamless, universal and flexible assembly, which can connect with underground, irrespective of profile length and location of trough section interfaces.

With a plastic connector with snap-on connection, igus has a clamping shoe which is directly mountable on the subsurface or on C profile (both inside and outside). Running noise is minimized thanks to the glide bars and insertable rubber profile.

The RCC Rail Cable Carrier is suitable for extremely long travel lengths, providing 500 m and more without sagging.

The carrier is designed for rolling instead of gliding, which is proven to create less friction.

When friction is too great, it becomes nearly impossible to acheive travel lengths greater than 200 m. The RCC rail cable carrier is specifically designed so the upper trough does not glide on the bottom trough, creating friction; instead it rolls on guide rails utilizing rollers mounted on ball bearings.

The guide rails are built for standard connection height and the carrier is guaranteed not to sag, tension and thrust an incredible 90% less compared to gliding carriers.

The upper trough of these cable carriers glides on its lower trough (in case of long lengths), and after passing the fixed point it glides on the sliding surface of the channel. The design ensures no-slipping situations, is highly durable, and operates in silence. Versions include steel plate guide channels with a one-sided cable carrier arrangement, or an opposing arrangement. A special gliding plate can be glued on for minimizing gliding resistance. The use of special gliding plates at speeds over 0.5 m/s and with frequent travel cycles is recommended, the guide channels can be modified for your specific needs.
