The HBM DQ809 thermocouple amplifier input module ensures that thermal measurements are taken in a consistent manner. With the use of the thermal adapter, the user can connect eight inputs that can be each be configured independently.

The thermal adapter has a mini thermocouple plug and an external cold junction for types J, K, T, S, E, B, N, R and C thermocouples. The user can implement a sampling rate at a max of 10,000 measurements/second.

Synchronized measurements are accomplished using a 24-bit analog-to-digital converter/channel. The unit has an active low-pass filter and the compact design is popular.
