Elevator hearth furnace / laboratory - 1700 - 1800 °C, 3 - 21 L | BLF

The Carbolite furnace configuration enables easy sample handling and loading, as well as cooling and heating from lifting and lowering the heated chamber on the hearth. With the use of a inverted crucible, as well as an optional gas inlet heart, the system is suitable for a modified atmosphere. The maximum operating temperature is 1,100 or 1,200 C. The chamber capacities are 49, 31, or 3.15 liters. When the chamber is raised, fast sample cooling can occur. For easy loading, the chamber rises to its full internal height. The element chamber is electrically operated, and the 3.5 liter model lowers or lifts in five seconds. Maximum heat uniformity and transfer is provided with the all around heating chamber. Protection against over temperature is provided and recommended for unattended operation of valuable samples.

Electric fusion machine - 20 - 25 samples/h

This is a fully automated six-position electric fluxer ideal for preparing fused beads and glass disks for XRF analysis, and solutions for AA, ICP, and wet chemistry analysis. Common applications are for testing refractories, ceramics, catalysts, glass, cement, slag, ores, clinker, rocks, minerals, and soils. The machine can quickly adjust to process any sample with in-built and custom fusion methods. Custom methods can be reliably developed using the multi-lingual wizard. It can usually process 20-30 samples per hour.

Fusion parameters are automatically controlled. These include heating time, temperature, mixing time and rate, cooling time (for glass disks) and stirring time (for solutions). Crucibles and molds are kept at the same temperature in the closed electric oven, and a display indicates the temperature. The holding temperature can be adjusted to minimize ramping time.
