The fully automated chemisorption analyzer AutoChem II 2920 can conduct studies of the chemical adsorption and temperature-programmed reactions. The instrument can obtain data on the physical properties of catalysts, the catalyst supports, and other materials. It can figure out the percentage of metal dispersion, the surface area of active metal, acid strength, surface acidity, distribution of strength of active sites, and BET surface area. Pulse chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction, desorption, oxidation, and reaction analyses are conducted automatically by AutoChem II 2920. Its preparatory, carrier, and analysis gas ports contain four inlets which allow performance of four-gas sequential experiments. Four calibrated mass flow controllers provide accurate, programmable gas control. It has a powerful Windows that is operating and also a data reduction software.

ChemiSorb 2720/2750 has the capability to perform both physical adsorption and chemisorption measurements required for the development, testing and production of catalyst. ChemiSorb2720 is affordable and upgradable, ideal for modest laboratories to calculate key parameters for catalysts, chemisorption (percent dispersion, active metal area, crystallite size, and surface acidity) and physisorption (single-point BET surface area, Langmuir surface area, and total pore volume). Equipped with two ports one for analysis, other for sample preparation it has a built-in sample cooling fan, four carrier gas inlets and is capable of accommodating a mass spectrometer/external detector on requirement. ChemiSorb2750 has same advantages as the prior model with of higher precision, faster throughput, and is more convenient in accommodating a variety of experiments. They use the dynamic (flowing gas) technique of analysis in which Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) is used to monitor the quantity of gas taken up by the sample or released from the sample surface.
